Thank you for your interest in the Mail Measurement Studies conducted by IBM!
Since 1990, the U.S. Postal Service has contracted IBM to conduct a third-party audit of their service performance. IBM is responsible for monitoring various mail pieces that are delivered to the homes and businesses of volunteer "Reporters." We determine how much of the mail is delivered on-time, and provide performance reports to the U.S. Postal Service every three months. The Postal Service uses this information to locate problem areas and to try to improve delivery service to their postal customers.
